Privacy Policy

Last updated: May 16, 2026

This policy explains what data SWAYDE 3D collects, why we collect it, who else sees it, and what you can do about it.

TL;DR

  • We collect what we need to run the Service: your account info, your business data (orders, models, costs), and basic usage analytics.
  • We don't sell your data. We don't train AI on it.
  • We share data with vetted sub-processors (hosting, payments) and with marketplaces only when you explicitly authorize the connection.
  • You can export or delete your data at any time.
PROMISES

The four bullets above are the actual policy. Everything below is the longer version that lawyers + auditors want to see written down. If the long version ever contradicts the bullets, the bullets win and we'll fix the long version.

1. What we collect

1.1 Account information

  • Email address, name, and (if you create a workspace) the name of your print farm.
  • Authentication and session tokens that keep you signed in to your account. We store these tokens; we never store your password in plaintext.
  • Billing contact details (only when you upgrade to a paid plan; handled by our payment processor).

1.2 Business data you enter

3D models, SKUs, print times, filament inventory, supply costs, marketplace fee structures, customer names and shipping addresses from imported orders, and the totals we compute from them. This is Your Data.

1.3 Third-party integrations

When you connect Etsy, Amazon, Shopify, TikTok Shop, Gmail, SimplyPrint, etc., we receive scoped data from those platforms: orders, listings, fee receipts, print job status. Scope is described at connection time and is limited to what the integration needs.

1.4 Usage data

  • IP address, browser type, OS, page paths, click events, and timestamps.
  • Error reports (stack traces, scrubbed of personal data where feasible).
  • Aggregated session metrics (e.g., feature adoption, time-to-first-action).

2. How we use it

We use the data above to:

  • Provide the Service to you (compute margins, sync orders, alert on low stock).
  • Authenticate you and prevent abuse.
  • Bill you for paid plans.
  • Send you transactional emails (account, billing, security, important product changes). You can't opt out of these as long as your account is active.
  • Send occasional product update emails. You can opt out via the unsubscribe link in any such email.
  • Diagnose bugs, monitor performance, and improve the product.

We do not use Your Data to train machine-learning models, sell it to advertisers, or use it to compete with you.

WHAT WE WON'T DO

We will never: build a generic model from your order data, expose your shop's margins to competitors, send your customers marketing email, or partner with a data broker. If we change any of that, this policy gets a 14-day notice email โ€” and so do you.

3. When we share

We share data only in the following situations:

  • Sub-processors (see Section 4) โ€” vendors who help us run the Service.
  • Third-party integrations you authorize โ€” when you connect a marketplace or service, data flows to that integration scoped to the permissions you grant.
  • Legal compliance โ€” when required by law (subpoena, court order, lawful government request). We will challenge overbroad requests where appropriate and notify you unless legally prohibited.
  • Business transfer โ€” if SWAYDE 3D is acquired or merges with another business, your data may transfer to the new owner, who must honor this Privacy Policy.
  • Aggregate analytics โ€” anonymized, aggregated statistics (e.g., "the average print shop loses 12% of margin to offsite ads") may be shared publicly. Aggregated data does not identify you.

4. Sub-processors

We rely on the following vendors to operate the Service. Each is bound by data-processing terms that require them to handle your data only as we instruct.

  • Vercel (USA) โ€” application hosting and edge delivery.
  • Supabase (USA/EU) โ€” database, authentication, file storage.
  • Stripe (USA) โ€” payment processing. Credit card data is collected directly by Stripe and never touches our servers.
  • Google (USA) โ€” Gmail OAuth (only with your explicit consent, only for parsing supply receipts you authorize).

We will update this list when we add or remove a sub-processor. You may request the current list at any time.

5. Cookies & tracking

We use a small number of cookies:

  • Strictly necessary โ€” session tokens to keep you signed in.
  • Preferences โ€” UI settings (dark mode, sidebar state, saved views), stored in your browser's localStorage.
  • Analytics (planned) โ€” we intend to add privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics such as Vercel Analytics and Speed Insights to measure page load and basic page views. When enabled, these will not use third-party cookies and will not build cross-site profiles. This is not active yet.

We do not use advertising trackers and we do not sell your data to ad networks.

6. Data retention

We keep Your Data for as long as your account is active. After cancellation:

  • You have 30 days to export Your Data in CSV / JSON format.
  • After 30 days, we delete the bulk of your data from production systems within 7 days.
  • Backups expire within 30 days of deletion.
  • We retain a minimal record (account ID, billing history) for up to 7 years to meet legal, tax, and accounting requirements.

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the following rights. To exercise them, email privacy@ezprintfarm.com.

7.1 GDPR (EU / EEA / UK)

  • Access โ€” request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Rectification โ€” ask us to correct inaccurate data.
  • Erasure โ€” ask us to delete your data ("right to be forgotten").
  • Portability โ€” receive your data in a machine-readable format.
  • Restriction โ€” ask us to pause processing of your data.
  • Objection โ€” object to processing based on legitimate interests.
  • Complaint โ€” lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.

7.2 CCPA / CPRA (California)

  • Right to know what categories of personal information we collect and how we use them.
  • Right to delete personal information we hold about you.
  • Right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
  • Right to non-discrimination for exercising any of the above.

Most rights can be exercised directly from your Farm Settings โ€” export your data at any time, and farm owners can permanently delete the farm and all of its data. For anything else, email us and we'll respond within 30 days.

8. Security

  • TLS encryption in transit, at-rest encryption on database storage.
  • Row-level security policies so customers can only access their own rows.
  • Service-role secrets stored in encrypted environment variables; never committed to source control.
  • Multi-factor authentication available for all accounts.
  • Automated alerting on anomalous activity.

No system is unbreakable. If we discover a breach affecting your personal information, we will notify you and the relevant authorities as required by law.

9. International transfers

SWAYDE 3D is operated from the United States. If you access the Service from outside the U.S., your data will be transferred to and processed in the U.S. and possibly other countries where our sub-processors operate. We rely on Standard Contractual Clauses and applicable adequacy decisions for transfers from the EEA / UK.

10. Children

The Service is not directed to children under 13 (or under 16 in some jurisdictions). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

11. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or in-app banner at least 14 days in advance. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.

12. Contact
